The Family Engagement Team (FET) is a welcoming and inclusive group of parents, carers and school leaders who work together to strengthen the partnership between families and Lumen Christi Catholic Primary School.
Formerly known as the Parents and Friends Association, the team was re-established in 2025 to provide families with a greater voice in school life and create more opportunities for parents and carers to connect, contribute and become actively involved in our school community.
The Family Engagement Team was created to:
- represent the collective voice of Lumen Christi families
- strengthen connections between families, staff and school leadership
- support events, fundraising activities and community initiatives
- provide opportunities for consultation and shared ideas
- promote a welcoming, inclusive and connected school community
- work positively toward better outcomes for all students and families.
Membership is open to all parents and carers. The team works alongside the Principal, Deputy Principal and other school leaders, with community members invited to participate when appropriate.
The Family Engagement Team represents the interests of the whole school community. Individual concerns relating to a child or family should continue to be discussed privately with the appropriate teacher or member of the school leadership team.
