Student Leadership and SRC

A key feature of Lumen Christi Catholic Primary School is the active involvement of students in the life of our school. We value student voice and provide meaningful opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and contribute positively to our community.

Our student leaders serve as role models, demonstrating our school values through their actions. School Captains, Vice Captains and House Captains are expected to lead with care, respect, responsibility and empathy, reflecting the spirit of our Catholic community.

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is our leadership program offered to students from Grade 3 to Grade 6. Students are selected at the beginning of the year to represent their class and act as a voice for their peers.

Through regular meetings, SRC members share ideas, raise issues and work collaboratively to create solutions and opportunities that enhance school life. This process supports students to develop confidence, leadership and communication skills, while gaining an understanding of teamwork and democratic decision-making.

At Lumen Christi, student leadership empowers learners to actively participate, lead with integrity and contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
